HVAC Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking an HVAC technician to join our team, who is honest, and reliable and offers top-tier customer service and comunication. We are looking for an individual who can apply sales and technical skills to service, repair, and install residential heating and air conditioning units.

Prior HVAC experience is not required but it is preferred. Our team values employee educational growth, and will provide all necessary industry training to make you feel comfortable and confident in the field. Big Bear heating and air is family owned and operated and searching for someone who is looking to continuously progress and expand in the HVAC industry with our company.

Hours: 7 am-6 pm

Pay Range: $15-30 hourly + Sales Commission

Duties & Responsibilities

• Identifying customer’s needs
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
• Managing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services
• Performing repairs and maintenance
• Participate in a technical training
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers’ requirements
• Supporting team members and peers to achieve KPIs

Requirements

• Vocational, training, or apprenticeship of an HVAC program
• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
• Current HVAC technician license
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
• Working knowledge of boiler systems
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice
• Ability to work in confined spaces
